Ready to draw FIR against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma: Mizoram Govt

Aizawl: The Mizoram government is ready to attract Fir which is submitted to the Head of Minister of Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma, Chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuango said on Sunday.
Even the chairman of the Minister of Zoramthanga did not approve the inclusion of Sarma’s name in Fir, he said.

Chuango said that he would discuss this issue with police officials concerned and remove the name of the Head of Minister of Assam if there was no legal validity to prove his charges against him.

The main secretary did not mention whether the cases submitted against six Assam officials and 200 unknown police personnel would be withdrawn.
Police Mizoram ordered Sarma, four South Assam police officers and two officials with different charges, including ‘efforts to kill’, ‘criminal conspiracy’ and ‘attack’.
FIR was registered at the Vairengte police station by Lalchawimawia who was responsible on July 26 immediately after clashing violence with Police Assam.
At least seven people from Assam, including six police personnel, were killed in violence amid border disputes between the two northeastern countries.
Four police officers Assam senior named in Fir are Inspector General of Police (IGP) Aurag Aggarwal, Deputy General Inspector (Dig) from Cachar Devojyoti Mukherjee, Cashar Police Superintendent Nimbalkar, and officers responsible for the Dholy Police Sahab Uddin.
Deputy Cachar Commissioner Keerthi Jalli and Forest Officer Cachar Division Sunnydeo Chaudhary was also ordered.
In addition, Mizoram police also registered a criminal case against 200 personnel unknown to the Assam Police.
Four police officers Assam senior and two officials were asked to emerge before the investigative officer at the Vairengte police station on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Police Assam also summoned Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena and six other officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Social Commissioner H Lalthlangliana and police supervisor Vanlalfaka Ralte, to be questioned on Sundays.
