Chandigarh: A BJP Punjab delegation led by the State Party President of Ashwani Sharma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to reopen the Kartarpur corridor with Gurpurab.
Sharma said: “This festival on November 19 and followers of Teacher Nanak must be allowed to travel to his birthplace in Pakistan.
The corridor opened on November 9, 2019, at the BJP initiative.
The historic Gurdwara is only 4.7 kilometers from the Indian border and should be negotiated as Part of the Indian region during the partition in 1947.
“Claiming that the Covid situation has increased enough to provide free travel access to Sikh pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib.
The visa-free corridor was closed due to last year’s pandemic, because travel restrictions were enacted.
The BJP delegation includes the vice president of the Sudan Singh Party, Punjab, GUATUM DUSHYANT Affairs, Secretary General of Tarun Chug, Narinder Singh Raina, Rp.
Singh Singh Sodhi, Harjit Grewi, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chinna, and Vikramjit Cheema.
