Bilal Ikram, instructed the advice for the applicant, Debabrata Saikia, leader of the opposition congressional in the State Assembly, told TII in addition to NRC inclusion norms, the state had provided several conditions for people’s rehabilitation.
“One condition is whether the family really does not have land and the other is if they are affected by erosion,” he said, adding that the applicant would submit an objection to raising an answer to the condition of the names in rehabilitation.
NRC, which is unique to Assam throughout the country, was first made in 1951, which was updated and published in 2019 but had not received Aporoval from the Supreme Court or the Indian Registrar General.
He also said the state told the court that would not take coercive action against anyone who tried to drive away, unless forced to do so.
The Judgment Head of Justice’s Division Bench and Justice Kakheto Sema recorded the submission made on behalf of the state government in command Wednesday.
The state has been looking for more time to submit two written statements of home and political department and department.
The court has fixed December 14 as the next hearing date.
Advocates also said The Assam Advocate General told the court that all efforts would be taken to ensure the facts and circumstances that led to the incident and whether each external power or organization was involved in inciting the “horde violence” that occurred.
