Written by news2in

Chandigarh: Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has slapped Rs 1.64 Crore’s penalty compensation in the Sonipat zone mining contractor for violating environmental laws and starting operations without adequate permits.
In the Board’s recommendations, the Haryana Mines and Geology departments have also stopped the DPS Associates contract and loss of security deposits of RS 2.26 core.
Regional Officers (RO) of the Sonipat region submitted this status report before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Tuesday for the final decision.
Last October, a joint committee was formed above the NGT direction because he saw accusations of Krois Kumar applicants with dirty violations with official Convance.
The committee has members of the central and state pollution control council, local administration, and mining departments.
It surveyed spot, and as a result in March, the Mining Department suspended the contracting license.
Last week, the Director General of the Department ended the final contract and told HSPCB, which in turn reported the penalty applied to the company.
The department then took Rs 1.64 Crore from a scorchable security and returned the rest to the concession holder.
