Guwahati: The Assam government is ready to open school from September 1 provided there is no fresh surge in Covid cases, Himanta’s minister’s head Buswa Sarma said on Monday.
He told the media that the movement of the inter-district vehicle will also be continued from August 16 because the government will raise a round room from the two regencies left, Lakhimpur and Golaghat, on Tuesday morning.
The State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has ordered the withdrawal of total detention from the country to further orders.
A new direction of ASDMA will take effect from 5 am on Tuesday.
“If the increase in Covid situation is maintained, on August 7, the government can decide to allow activities in the district to 6pm,” Sarma said, added that the situation would be carefully monitored over the next one week.
He told that phase-wise, the state government planned to start offline classes from September 1.
“Safety life is the most important but we negotiate about the possibility of opening the last year class in postgraduate, higher levels and class X from September 1.
However, we will not take risks if the Covid case transfers or situations like the third wave appears , “he said.
From Tuesday, there will be no round hours anywhere in the state.
But because the level of participants only became moderate in Golaghat and Lakhimpur, the direction of Asdma said that at night at night in the districts would start at 2:00 p.m.
In all districts, hours of night will start at 5 pm to 5 in the morning.
Asdma’s instructions also stated that all workplaces, business and commercial companies, dinner restaurants, hotels, resorts, dhabas, and other restaurants, Takeaway food items from restaurants, Dhabas, and other restaurants, opening counters, showrooms, cold storage , and the warehouse will reach 1pm at the Golaghat and Lakhimpur districts and up to 4pm in all districts.
It adds that shops deal with food ingredients, fruits and vegetables, milk booths and milk, and animal feed will open until 5 pm in Golaghat and Lakhimpur, while the same thing will remain open until 4pm in all districts , However, at the moment, all passenger transportation services between districts and the movement of people to and from other districts will remain suspended.
The movement of goods will continue according to the order.
Public meetings are also permitted but up to 10 people for wedding or funeral programs.
Asdma said about restrictions on passenger transport services between districts to and from other districts, it is necessary to conduct offline class behavior in several main institutions, reopening religious places and monuments and sites protected by the country, decisions will be considered.
