Guwahati: The Gahati High Court, as the last occasion, has directed the state government to propose a concrete plan before the court within 45 days on what action has so far been taken on the construction of the proposed waste management plant in Guwahati.
Coming after the court observed no progress in the installation of the project mentioned above even though the state government assessed the court that the waste management plant would be installed immediately in the city to deal with the problem of city waste management.
Chairman of the Chairman of Dhulia and Justice Sudhanshu Soumitra Saikia heard a number of petitions on the disposal of waste in this city plant installation and technical and financial offer processes have been concluded and that GMC is awaiting administration of permission from the state government to provide a tender to a successful bidder.
After observing no progress, the court has now provided the last opportunity to the state government and asked him to submit a concrete plan on February 24.
This problem has been set on February 24 for the next hearing.
