MySuru: Sculptor based in Mysuru Arun Yogiraj, which filled the 12-foot Statute Adi Teacher Shankaracharya, which was installed in Kedarnath, was treated by St Somashekar, In-Charge District of Mysuru Minister, here on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a statue in Kedarnath, where Seer eight century reached Moksha.
‘Samadhi Stal’ from Shankaracharya was rebuilt and the statue was installed after being destroyed during the Uttarakhand flood in 2013.
Arun was the third generation artist from Mysuru, and he had used Krishna Shila HD Kote to make the statue.
He is one of the eight chosen sculptors to make the statue.
Finally, PMO chose Arun to make the statue.
The young sculptors took almost nine months to make and install statues in Kedarnath.
Arun Yogiraj Shilpi’s father and Grandpa Basavanna Shilpi is a famous sculptor.
