Chandigarh: In the middle of the ongoing award between Minister of Punjab Minister Amarinder Singh and former Minister of Punjab Navjot Singh Sidhu, the last will meet with the leaders of the Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Congress in Delhi on Tuesday.
It came a week after the Sidhu announcement that he was not after any position, including from the Deputy Minister of Chief, and had full confidence in the party’s high command.
Rahul already has a session with a ministerial group, MLA and Parliament from Punjab last week.
Amarinder can also be called to Delhi in the coming days to complete the entire feedback exercise, because the high party order wants to resolve the earliest internal conflict.
Rahul had stepped up to hold a simultaneous meeting with Minister and MLA, most of the revocation of CM, even when the panel took feedback from around 180 party leaders.
The panel submitted the question of MLAs about Sidhu too and also believed to have discussed the option for Sidhu with Amarinder during the last round of talks.
Sidhu’s meeting took part in the AICC designated panel report led by opposition leader at Rajya Sabha Malikarjun Kharge recommended that Sidhu ‘accommodated’.
The committee was established to overcome the internal chaos in the state unit ahead of the subsequent assembly selection which was due at the beginning of 2022.
Amarinder was called by the Kharge Panel for the second time on Wednesday, but returned to Chandigarh without meeting Sonia or Rahul.
Sidhu is likely to repeat his seat that the Congress government led by Amarinder Singh has failed to convey the main promises such as justice to blasphemy and also provide feedback on the ‘reality of land’ in the state.
The former MP JP Aggarwal, which is a panel member, told Ti that Sidhu was not scheduled to meet with the panel.
Previously, Sidhu had provided feedback to the committee on June 1 and reportedly conveyed his establishment of the problem of blasphemy and various proposals fired during the Cabinet Minister.
“Rahul hasn’t met the main minister so far during the current crisis, even when the latter has two rounds of meetings with a panel.
In addition to discussing his role (Sidhu) can agree, Rahul and Priyanka will also discuss roadmaps for the next election,” said a person Party leader.
Most of the leaders of the senior Congress in Punjab have been in Tenterhooks for more than two months in the midst of talks about changes in the cabinet and organizational structure.
They have adopted the ‘Wait and Watch’ mode in Amarinder-Sidhu Tussle, it is uncertain on which the High Command Party will support.
Sidhu has announced last week that he was not interested in returning to the cabinet as deputy chief minister but wanted the ‘People’s Agenda’ implemented in the state.
It is believed that he was interested in taking over as president of Punjab Congress, a proposal rejected by the minister’s chairman.
