Shimla: So far, 52 students have been tested positive for Covid-19 in the state since school this week.
For student safety, the state government has launched an online class scheme and “Har Ghar Paathshala”, which became a big success.
In a cabinet meeting at Shimla on July 22, the decision to open a school for senior classes from August 2 was taken when the cases declined.
A government spokesman on Saturday said the latest data released by the Ministry of Health has revealed that a total of 52 students have been found positively covid.
He said two students had been tested positive for Covid-19 in the Bilalaspur district, nine in the Chamba district, five in Hamirpur District, 15 in Kangra Regency, one in Kullu Regency, one in Lahaul-Spiti Regency, seven in the bath district, nine again at Shimla District and three in Una District.
Of these, 13 students came from industrial training institutions.
At the same time, Sommaur, Solan and Kinnaur District have not reported a positive case of Covid-19 among students.
The spokesman said Covid’s related guidelines and soups must be strictly followed at the Institute to save children from infected.
He said all parents and teachers must encourage students to follow Covid behavior in school.
The cabinet is likely to discuss the problem of sending students to schools in the meeting scheduled to be held on August 10.
