Guwahati: The State Health Department launched many uniform steps for Covid management at a government hospital after 12 deaths in one day reported on Monday at the Medical Medical College Premier Hospital.
Death comes as a big blow to the Ministry of Health, especially because the level of participants in the country has dropped to almost 2.01% for a while.
The hospital review meeting was held on Tuesday, chaired by the Minister of Health of Keshab Mahanta and was attended by the principal of all government medical colleges.
“The senior doctor until the rank of Associate Professor and Professor may be asked to fulfill the night assignment.
The new SOP will soon be published in hospital monitoring.
Supervision of senior doctors will increase,” said Director of Medical Education, Dr.
Anup Kumar Barman.
Health officials said on many occasions, a number of critical patients died in one day.
Although the incidence of GMC is not due to hospital negligence, better management is needed.
Depending on the availability of labor, the College medical hospital has criticized tasks to the doctor.
However, during his sudden visit to GMCH in Wee time on Tuesday, Manganta looked for details from the doctor on duty at night and then insisted on monitoring the doctor who was more senior at night.
Some decisions have also been taken for aggressive care.
But doctors above 60 years may not be deployed in Covid’s tasks in the ‘red zone’ in accordance with the government’s direction.
While the GMCH authority blamed the low oxygen saturation and hospital registration was delayed as the main reason behind sudden death, the Ministry of Health did not want repetition of Monday’s incident everywhere RSUD.
“As a follow-up action, we plan to introduce a uniform system in all medical college hospitals.
Even though there are varied workers, it will be on a similar path,” Barman added.
Mahanta said the two shift days and night shifts would be monitored by senior doctors.
He instructed that the aid desk was arranged to help officers at the college hospital and Covid Hospital.
“Every Covid Hospital will now publish a Covid bulletin regularly, with the numbers of patients received and discarded.
The assistance desk will provide every detail to the family members of the Covid patient, including oxygen saturation,” Mahanta said.
The Assam Chapter of the Indian Medical Association also urged the government to spread efficient doctors all the time in all hospitals.
“Labor recruitment needs to be remembered, because ICU beds have increased since the plague of pandemic.
Hospitals need more health staff for critical care,” said the Branch President of Borah Satyajit Borah.
