Bengaluru: Karnataka Cabinet on Thursday approved a scheme to provide special incentives for making oxygen and related companies in the state.
Indicates that the country faces a lack of oxygen because of the Minister of Covid-19, Minister of Law and Parliament Basavaraj Bommai said there were 9 oxygen / factory manufacturing units in the state and six oxygen suppliers.
“Manufacturing capacity is 815 MT and storage capacity is 5,780 mt.
To increase capacity, if there are advanced entrepreneurs, we will give them incentives,” he told reporters after the cabinet meeting.
Incentives include 25 percent capital subsidies of fixed asset values that experience the minimum investment of Rs 10 Crore, 100 percent of release from electrical tasks for three years after commencement of commercial production, additional power tariff subsidies of Rs 1,000 per metric ton on the government’s offerings.
There will be 100 percent exceptions of stamp duty and replacement of loan and land documents, concession registration fees, replacement of 100 percent land conversion costs, he added.
The cabinet also decided premature liberation of 139 prisoners who were sentenced to life from a central prison in the state with good behavior reasons.
“This will go to the governor for approval,” said Bommai.
Other decisions taken by the Cabinet include administrative approval to establish Goshalas in all districts of the state with a total cost of Rs 15 Crore in the first phase to increase the prevention of carnataka slaughter and preservation of livestock action, 2020.
“Deciding to release additional funds, depending on the progress of the work,” Bommai said.
The Cabinet also approved the RS 48 Crore for the implementation of the plant survey project for 2022 Kharif season, with the help of a cellular application, where farmers will share information.
If farmers cannot do it themselves, they can request assistance from private staff or government deployed for this purpose, the Minister said.
Other decisions include considering the work-oriented courses of state-oriented Karnataka (JOC) equivalent to PUC (pre-university course), to bring Karnataka Prison Development Board Bill 2021 before the legislature, approval for construction of buildings for KGTTI (Karnataka Germany Technical Training Institute) in Bellagavi (Rs 16.43 Crore) and Mangaluru (Rs 15.23 Crore).
The Cabinet gave his approval for installing the statue of the 12th century social reformer in Basavanna in the place of Vidhana Soudha, the legislative chair of the State and Secretariat in Bengaluru, by the Kannada and Cultural Department.
