MySuru: When the other southern district witnessed a positive case of Covid-19 cases, Mysuru’s front level drifted below 1%.
District administrative strategies to test an average of 10,000 people per day help now.
Among the tests carried out 95% are RT-PCR.
According to district war room data, on August 2, 10,918 samples were tested and the level of participation was 0.93%.
On August 1, 9,642 tests were carried out and the level of participation was 1.52%.
On July 29, 8,537 tests were carried out and the level of participation was 1.83%.
On July 28, 11,652 tests were carried out and the level of participation was 0.79%.
According to the Covid-19 district bulletin, less than 6,000 tests were carried out only on July 30 and 31.
Among the tests, the highest number of tests were RPCR which gave better results.
For example, on August 1, a quick antigen test (mouse) is only 5% of the total test.
Mysuru DC Bagadi Gautham said, “It’s better to test more so we are in front of the situation.” According to data, during the second wave of Covid-19, July witnessed the lowest cases and deaths so far after 6,253 new cases and 128 deaths were reported in this district.
The highest death was reported in June while being able to record a large number of new cases.
Meanwhile, the pressure on the district administration in terms of positive cases in Taluk also dropped.
Only the city of MySuru and Periyapatna Taluk have active cases in two digits.
According to the district war room report, T Narasipura has eight cases, HD Kote 34, Nanjuud 49, KR Nagar 80, Mysuru Taluk 86, Hunsur 96 cases, Periyapatna 299 and Mysore City have 735 active cases.
