MYSURU: Without a reprieve from top positivity rate (39.
4percent ) and also the district documenting over 2,000 fresh Covid-19 instances daily for the past six months, the Mysuru district government decided to impose strict lockdown in the whole district by May 29 to June 7.
DC Rohini Sindhuri issued an order in this respect about Thursday morning.
At Wednesday, Mysuru listed 1,34,448 Covid-19 instances, 1,16,299 sparks and 1,538 deaths.
Active cases from the district endure at 16,548.
According to the order, all of the services except health care providers, milk parlors, fruits & vegetable stores and reasonable price shops will be closed down during this age.
On Saturdays and Thursdays, between 6am and the people are permitted to purchase essential commodities.
Banks and insurance providers will be permitted to work between 8am and noon on both of these days.
As stated by the government, the choice to enforce stricter lockdown was obtained depending on the recommendations produced by district Covid-19 job force, and opinions obtained from the taluk administrations.
Mysuru district in-charge minister, ST Somashekar, appealed to the people to collaborate with the government in the battle against Covid-19 by just adhering to regulations.
“Individuals should make use of the window to get the essentials.
While purchasing the products all should adhere to the Covid 19 right behavior,” he explained.
