MySuru: MLA, owned by Janata Dal (secular), on Saturday suggested beating them involved in the alleged rape of a student here for the police meeting.
MLA SA RA Mahesh said the gang-rape case had made mysuru culture in Karnataka hang her head embarrassment.
“I know there are legal obstacles in this matter.
In this bitter incident, the police must take strict action,” said the legislator, representing Krishnarajanagara in the city.
“I pressed Mysuru police and the State Police Department to show the courage to raise such people and the government to spend the right direction,” Mahesh said.
Karnataka DG & IGP Praveen Sood said five people from neighboring Tamil Nadu were arrested while others fled with regard to students on the outskirts of Mysuru on August 24 on August 24.
