Amritsar: Pall of Gloom fell at the House of the late Manmet Singh when his body was taken from Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday.
Amritsar-based Manmeet Singh, one of the two Sufi brothers group “Sain Brothers” sank at Lake Kareri, near McLeodganj in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh after he reportedly sneaked into his lakes.
The remnants of mortal were sent to the flame on Wednesday night.
The Sufi singer was swept away in a sudden water and then his body recovered from Rivulet Nauli nearby.
Manmeets along with his brother KiranPal and four more friends have gone to trekking to Dharamshala where they are trapped in heavy rain and Cloudburst that leads to floods and destruction.
“If I know it can happen, we will never go for trekking”, KiranPal continues to repeat when doing the last ritual of the Almarhya.
When talking to TOI on Wednesday, the Senior Police Supervisor (SSP) Kangra Vimukt Ranjan told that Manmet’s body was found from Rivulet Nauli near Lake Kareri.
Kareri is a Gaddi village which is located about 9 km from Dharamkot and serves as a base for mountain trekkers who want to track further into the Dhauladhar mountains.
The SSP told her body recovered on Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning, the body was sent for postmortem and then left to relatives.
Residents of the Chheherata Amritsar region, thirty-one-year-old manmeet survived by his wife Manpreet Kaur and two sons of Ranbir and Amitoj.
Father of the late Shankar Sukhdev Singh told that both Manmeet and Kiranpal had gone to Dharamshala along with four more friends on Saturday night.
He said he had spoken with Kiranpal on Monday night told him that they went to Lake Kareri.
Science Brothers have shot fame with their Sufi number “Duniyadiary”.
