Guwahati: Reacting to the former MP Silchar Sushmita Dev’s Shift from Congress to the Trinamool Congress, BJP President Bhabesh Kalita on Monday said that it would not endanger BJP in any way.
For BJP, the departure of Sushmita from Congress will weaken the old party of the Grand, especially in the Barak Valley in Assam, because he is a strong leader in the valley.
Kalita said, “This is his personal call to get out of the congress.
We have nothing to say about it.
But I can say one thing that even Mamata Banerjee will not be able to win and become Chairman of the Minister of Assam.” Many go down at Congress, He asked the President of the State of the Grand Old Party, Bhupen Kumar Borah, to find a way to prevent erosion in Congress.
“The party has faced a massive erosion.
Congress State President must focus on finding ways to prevent it than remain involved in criticizing BJP,” he said.
Dev departure from Congress after leaving former Garmhat MLA Ajanta Neog (currently Finance Minister Assam), former Mariani Marian Mla Rupjyoti Kurmi and former Thowra Mla Sushanta Borghain is being considered a big blow to Congress.
While Neog, Kurmi and Borghain joined BJP, Dev joined TMC on Monday.
MP Silchar Rajdeep Roy said, “Sushmita’s joined TMC a little surprising to me because I never thought that after having a relationship that stretched for four generations with the Congress, he would leave the party for personal political profits.
Congress was a drowning ship today.
However, It was his personal call.
“He added,” He is a great politician.
He always wants to work for people.
But maybe things don’t happen with the leadership of the Congress that he must call.
“Secretary General of the National BJP and Mugaldai MP Dilip Saikia said, “I welcome the decision of Sushmita Dev to quit the Congress.”
