SWR operates 10 trains a day to and from Kia Halt Station when the Halt station was inaugurated on January 4, 2021.
However, the service was suspended from the end of April due to poor protection during the second covid wave.
However, activists say the frequency of poor trains and the lack of consciousness must be blamed.
The termination station located 3.5 km from KIA Terminal was built by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) at a cost of around Rs 3 Crore and aims to benefit 28,000 airport employees and passengers.
BIAL also operates free shuttle bus services between stations and terminals.
The train ticket rates are between Rs 10 and Rs 15.
Cabsmore’s shortcomings, many passengers in Kia complained of taxi shortages, especially during the weekend due to an increase in passenger movements.
At present, only cabins and BMTC Vayu VAJRA and KSRTC flybus services are available.
The work of Namma Metro and Rail Suburban connectivity to KIA also have not started.
BAL on Sunday tweeted: “We experienced delays in availability #uber and #ola taxi in @blowaair because of high passenger volume and demand.
Passengers can choose airport taxis or buses to travel.
We regretted the inconvenience (sic)”.
Rajkumar Dugar, a commuter train activist, said: “It is better to make sure the train is good and reliable to the Kia Halt station from a variety of Bengaluru angles quickly.
The train with good frequency, route, timing, the duration of the trip will help many people.
10 trains Can take 6,000 people from 1 lakh who go to the airport every day “he added.
