BENGALURU: A 27-year-old program engineer in JP Nagar has allegedly lost Rs 79,000 into cybercrooks who promised to provide him medication for curing his uncle’s dark disease infection.
JP Nagar police registered a case of cheating from unidentified miscreants according to a complaint filed by Ayush Amrith Porwal on Monday.
Authorities stated Porwal had searched on the net for its injection’Amphotericin B Liposomal.
‘ “I stumbled upon a touch, which promised to possess the medication.
Each of the conversation occurred through WhatsApp.
To process the buy that the miscreant asked an improvement and I moved Rs 79,000 into a bank account given by him.
The defendant promised to ship the medication in just two weeks, but place the move, he ceased responding and also his number had been turned off,” Porwal advised JP Nagar authorities.

Basaveshwaranagar authorities said they captured the accused red handed while they were promoting a single vial for Rs 10,000.
The accused are Sanjeev Kumar, 32, Prateek, both 37 and Abhijit, 27, all inhabitants of Electronics City.
Sanjeev Kumar is currently a health representative, whilst Prateek is an intimate buddy of Sanjeev and functions with a private company.
Abhijit is a rescue boy.
The accused told authorities they bought the vials out of Kerala and introduced them into the city to sell for much more cash.
“We contacted Sanjeev via a decoy, requesting him to get the medication.
Sanjeev advised our decoy he can organize and gave the contact amount of the other two suspects.
We captured Abhijit on Tuesday if he arrived to Basaveshwaranagar using a vial.
According to his statement, others had been nabbed,” authorities said.
Sanjeev was taken into police custody for seven days, although others are sent to prosecution in Central prison.
“As Sanjeev declared that he obtained the vials out of Kerala, we’ll take him continue our evaluation,” an officer said.
