Bengaluru: Shanmukha’s innovation, the startup incubated at the Society for Innovation and Development (SID), Indian Institute of Science (IISC), has increased the spread of its cellular infection test and reported (MITR) Labs and now operates in four countries.
A dozen Laboratory Mitr has been deployed throughout Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh where 1.5 lakh people have been tested for Covid-19 on Thursday, Sid said in a statement.

SID said the lab allows access to very accurate tests in remote areas and reduces the completion time between sample collection and final report.
The first set of Laboratory MITR was facilitated by the Principal’s scientific advisory office and supported by the Company and NGO partners.
During the phase, the first three cellular labs were handed over to the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in August 2020 were attended by the fourth spread in AIIMS, New Delhi.
