Manali: private car from above, parked near the forestry office in Manali, fined Rs 10,000 on Tuesday for disrupting peace in the area after Hooter was turned on when the car lay quietly.
According to Souces, the car has a sticker from “Judge” inserted on the windshield.
The car (up78fw-8384) was parked in the government parking while the occupants were allegedly living in a private hotel in Manali.
Incidentally, the vehicle was parked next to the Minist of Himachal Cabinet Govind Singh Thakur when he attended an important wildlife meeting nearby.
The police said the car was illegally installed Hooter in it, which was turned on because of defects.
A police officer added that Hooter had disturbed the public in the surrounding area for more than 20 minutes.
The minister and other people present at the meeting were also disturbed by loud votes but no one knew what had happened outside.
Then, the police in action, took Hooter, and fined RS 10,000 car owners under the relevant section of the MV action.
According to traffic rules, only ambulances, police vehicles, fire brigades and emergency vehicles are permitted to use Hooters.
The Himachal government in 2019 has ordered to remove Hooters and sirens from all government vehicles, and even the Head of State Minster Jai Ram Thakur has suggested ministers and MLA not to use Hooters and sirens.
However, a large number of ‘VIP tourists’ visiting Himachal often use Hooters when police do not exist.
