Chandigarh: The Haryana government has given its approval for the new train project ‘Karnal-Yambanagar’.
This project will meet the long demand waiting for ordinary people in this region to direct and fast train connectivity between these two important cities.
Sharing information, official spokesman said that the Karnal-Yambanna train line will strengthen the original transportation infrastructure by providing a choice of fast, safe, economical, comfortable and reliable mobility to Haryana people.
The Haryana government has agreed to a detailed project report (DPR) project on July 20, 2021 after entering all suggestions made by the train Ministry to the design of the report submitted earlier in September 2019, he added.
He said that the state government had pursued this project with the train ministry in various meetings held by the Head of Minister Haryana with the minister of the Union train.

The project must be held within a period of about 4 years, he added.
A spokesman said that the new carnal-yamcomplete train line would take off from the Karnal train station on the Delhi-Ambala train line and would be connected at the Jagadhri-Workshop train station on the Ambala-Saharanpur railroad.
The new line will act as a feeder route for East DFC, has a exchanging point by train at Kalanaur Station (side by side with Yamunanagar) by providing direct connectivity to Karnal, Panipat and other parts of Haryana Center, he added.
He said that the train route that exists from Karnal to Yambani, through Ambala Cantt., Has a route length of 121km.
The comparative road distance between Karnal and Yamunanagar is 67 km away, he added.
He further informs that the proposed new railway line, with a length of route 64.6km, thus will provide the shortest relationship between these two cities and will greatly reduce travel time for passengers and for transport traffic.
He said that the main benefits of this project include direct and faster connectivity between Karnal & Yambanagar, passenger transportation faster because travel distance will be reduced by up to 50 km, and access faster to the market for industrial products, metals and industrial wood, fertilizer etc.
