Bengaluru: Assistant Professor of 45-year-old Physiology with Ms.
Bagguah Medical College died of suicide after allegedly jumping from the terrace of the eight-storey building MS Memorial Hospital, on Thursday.
According to the Sadashivanagar police, Dr.
Ambarish Vijayaraghav, a resident of Banashankari, took extreme steps around 11:45 a.m.
Police said the wife of Ambarish was also a doctor and a couple had two children.
He did not leave a suicide note and his family members did not realize what drove him to take extreme steps.
His wife told police Ambaran was the person ordered and had no feelings.
“We have observed that he was depressed after a pandemic since last year.
He has talked about a heavy workload because some of his colleagues have resigned after Covid-19.
But we are not sure what forced him to commit suicide,” he told the police.
Police Sadashivanagar has taken cases of unnatural death based on complaints submitted by Brother-in-law of Ambaran.
The body was handed over to family members after the autopsy was carried out at the Hospital MS Bagusah.
