Mangaluru: If everything goes according to plan, the coast of Karnataka will have its first promenade under the Mangaluru Smart City mission.
Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) has prepared a detailed project report (DPR) to develop pedestrian areas, paved public streets with many tourist attractions, by the seafront near the edge of the Nethravati river.
General Manager MSCL Arun Prabha told TII that special purpose vehicles have been planned to take the Promenade 2.1km Project proposed with the estimated cost of RS 19 Crore.
“Area-based development (ABD) under Mangaluru Smart City’s mission has 5.1 km from the seafront starting from the Jalan Nethravati bridge.
The proposed Promenade will be developed between bridges and boar based on pilots.
