Bengaluru: Bomavaraj Bommai Cabinet on Saturday discussed ways to facilitate some covid-19 restrictions and allow the celebration of Ganesha festivals in public places.
The state government is under pressure from various groups and BJP legislators to provide relaxation.
At the cabinet meeting, many ministers were reported to depart for enabling public celebrations.
Some apparently said the bommai had to end the night and weekends that were still in several districts.
“We discuss in detail about allowing celebrations.
CM will receive a last call after deliberation with experts,” said Minister of Law & Parliament JC Madhuswamy, added a meeting scheduled on Sunday.
The Cabinet has provided a 17.7 crore sanction for drugs and medical equipment as part of the preparation for the third wave.
