Jorthat: The emergence of the Covid-19 case in Golaghat Assam and Golaghat Regency continued on Wednesday, forcing the Jorhat District Government to order total locking on Wednesday and Thursday while Golaghat District Administration ordered the closure of all grocery stores and other retail shops until Thursday.
Deputy Golaghat Deputy Commissioner Mrigesh Narayan Baru, in orders issued on Wednesday, said, “Given the spread of the positive Covid-19 case in Golaghat Regency and to stop the spread of disease, all grocery stores, vegetables and fruit vendors will still be closed for another day On Thursday throughout the district.
However, this order will not apply to pharmaceutical and milk points.
“Recently added that the situation will be reviewed on Thursday to decide on the next action.
Jorhat and Golaghat districts were declared the ‘total detention zone’ by the government on July 6 and the total lockdown was valid since July 7.
Only grocery stores, vegetables and fruits were allowed to open in these two districts but due to the increase.
Positive Covid cases, this district administration ordered the closure of these shops from July 12.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the total locking in Biswanath District Assam North from Monday, the police and paramilitary forces carried out a march flag in the district to enforce Covid norms on Wednesday.
Police Supervisors (Biswanath) Ripul Das said, “We have committed a flag with March in Gahpur today (Wednesday) to enforce Covid norms.
A large number of people have been detained and fined for violating the norms in Biswanath Regency.”
