Amritsar: Prabhjit Singh, the main suspect in smuggling around 294kg Heroin was returned to detention of the Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI) until July 12 by the court in Maharashtra on Monday.
Prabhjit Singh was arrested from the Tarn Taran District in Punjab at 2.
Prabhjit, the owner of the company who had imported the consignment of Afghanistan, was summoned by the Unit Amritsar Dri on July 1 and was arrested on July 2 with Narcotics Narcotics and Psychotropic Substance Law (NDPS).
Dri officials have obtained Prabhjit transit delivery from the court.
He was sent to Mumbai where 293.81kg Heroin recovered from six Gunny bags.
Old value is believed to be around RS 2000 Crore in the international market.
The source said that the two Prabhjit colleagues were arrested by Indore Dri unit officers from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh and their statements were recorded.
“Both have been arrested and taken to Mumbai on transit delivery,” said the source.
Narcotics was restored after an examination of two containers imported by Prabhjit companies from Afghanistan with cargo stated from semi-processed talik stones that had arrived in Mumbai through the Bahar Port port in Iran.
The source said that every container contains around 350 gunny bags.
In six gunny bags (three in each container) a slightly rough texture agent found, which looks different from the cargo stated from the semi-processed talik stones found in other white and smooth bags in the texture.
“Six barking bags with similar weight and have a slightly different sign and filter pattern found intelligently hidden in different locations in the container,” said a source that added that in testing with drug detection kit, substance in all 6 Gunny bags was found heroin.
