Mohali: Defendant in the murder case of October 2020 Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a left activist who was awarded Chakra Shaurya in 1993 for fighting Khalistan terrorists, given regular guarantees by the court here on Friday.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Judge Court Karunesh Kumar in Mohali gave a guarantee to Ravinder Singh aka Ravi Dhillon (20).
Sandhu was killed on October 16, 2020.
Jaspal Defense Advisor Singh Manjpur said Dhillon had been filled with Nia under Section 120-B reading with Section 201 IPC, which was a violation of being responded.
Thus, the accused of Ravi has been ordered to be released with a guarantee of the furniture with a personal bond of Rs 1 Lakh with a guarantee of the same number, he said.
Dhillon, a resident of Hussainpura Village in Ludhiana District, among the eight who was accused of who Nia had submitted a Chargesheet to kill Sandhu, negotiating by awarding the courage to fight against terrorism in Punjab.
Sandhu was shot dead by two people riding a bicycle at his home in the city of Bhikhiwind in the Tarn Taran district.

The other defendant who was arrested by Nia was Sukhmeet Pal Singh, aka Sukh, aka Bhikhariwal; Sukhraj Singh, aka LakhanPal; Sukhdeep Singh, aka Bhura; Gurjit Singh, aka BHA, from the Gurdaspur District; Akashdeep Arora, aka Dhaliwal; Jagroop Singh from Ludhiana; and Inderjit Singh alias MONT, from Tarn Taran.
