Mangaluru: Mangaluru Police in Dakshina Regency Kannada Karnataka, on Monday, arrested a 38-year-old man on charges of sexual violence at a two-year-old girl and threw it into a saltwater fish tank from a fish processing unit.
The police have arrested Chandan.
City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “At 8 am on Monday, we received information that a two-year-old daughter was feared to sink.
The officers rushed to the hospital where the child was treated with the doctors, the investigative officer realized that together with sinking , efforts are made to attack children sexually.
“Nearly 80 migrant workers mostly from Bihar are involved in cutting and marinating fish in the fish processing unit.
The old man from the child told the police that they were in the unit until around 4pm on Sunday and had stepped out to buy a fan between 4pm and 6pm.
When they returned, they realized that their child was gone.
They started looking for children for almost two hours.
Around 9pm, they found the child unconscious in the fish tank that had salt water in it.
They tried hard to help him get awareness.
Survivor was rushed to the hospital.
In further investigation, the people who worked in the unit said that they had seen the defendant take a baby around 4pm.
He was immediately chosen and asked.
