Bengalauru: Jacquard Textile Exhibition with Himatsingka Seid’s Textile Mill is underway in Bengaluru.
Based on traditional Pichhwais Pichhwais in Nathadwara in Rajasthan, Jayshree Poddar’s artwork expresses spiritual through textile art in a fun and personalized way.
Poddar, Director of Design in Himatsingka Seid since 1986, is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design.
He has worked with textiles for more than 35 years.
The essence of Pichhwai was extracted through Krishna silhouettes and other forms such as trees, flowers, beef, and sky, the symbol of Pichhwai’s painting.
The exhibition, which opened on November 14, 2021, will last until November 21 between 6pm and 8:00.
Artwork in DisplayVehicling – a rather large silhouette of Krishna is a width of Shrinathji – 130 cm, height – 400 cms.
The opaque shapes are woven with black thread, charcoal, and colored gray from five different types, appearing on the basis of a thin thin cloth.
Ethereal Moon – the moon woven with silvery thread spinning like on its axis, in front of Shrinathji’s woven image.
Magic Moment Experience.
Godhuli – weaving on the opponents of smooth white silk, with lots of feed threads and several types of interlacements, this horizontal sweeping, the curved panel of almost 8 meters, is about cows in mythology representing ‘science’ that goes down to earth with Krishna avatar.
They stared lovingly to God.
Bank Yamuna – Smaller cattle arranged on silk gold with waters circling.
Yardage is called the name “Yamuna Bank”.
