Bengaluru: The transportation department on Friday conducts a raid at the Office of the Ola and Uber application-based aggregator.
The source said the department has formed a special team to carry out inspections and will continue on Saturday.
Officials said they had an attack at the Ola office at the Koramangala and Uber office in Murugeshpalya.
“We have carried out raids based on complaints of norm violations under the Rules of the Carnataka On-Demand transportation technology aggregator, 2016” said a senior transportation department official.
Other officials said they received complaints from passengers against this aggregator because more than the government’s permanent tariff, did not arrive on time, driving without licenses and other violations under the action of motorized vehicles.
“Aggregator must submit detail drivers, vehicles, insurance, vehicle permits, and pollution under the control certificate to RTO every three months.
But they do not do it.
For example, the Uber Office is registered in the HSR layout but they have shifted their office to MurugeshPalya without giving Know us.
The two aggregators do not provide relevant documents to us.
We will immediately submit a report to the Transportation Commissioner and the notification will be issued soon “said an official.
Ola and Uber are not available for comments.
Can be remembered that the state transportation authority has issued a notification in March 2019 to Ani Technologies, which operates Ola, suspends its permission for six months to run a bicycle taxi in the city.
However, it was revoked after public anger.
