Guwahati: The Assam government on Tuesday announced total locking in seven countries from July 7 to further notice.
The curfew in these seven districts – Goalpara, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Biswanath and Morigaon – will be all the time.
“There will be a total detention in seven districts that show high levels of participants in the past few days,” said Babat News Ani citing orders for the Assam Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
During locking, all commercial companies, restaurants, stores will remain closed.
There will be a public transportation ban & personal transportation and the movement between countries will remain suspended.
Covid-19 Tally State rose to 5,19,834 on Monday as 2,640 more people tested positive for infection, while 31 fresh fatalities pushed Koronavirus Koronavirus for 4,683, a health bulletin said.
The Golaghat district enrolled the highest number of new cases in 333, followed by Sonitpur (233), Chronic Metropolitan (197), and Jorhat (151).
Five people surrendered to Covid-19 in Dibrugarh, four in Golaghat, three of each in Jorhat and Sonitpur, each in Cachar, Dhubri, Hailai and Hojai, and one in Chanaideo, Chirang, Karimajhar, Morigaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar, and Tinsukia District.
