Bengaluru: Passengers can immediately enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Ghats section, especially between the subreather of Road and Sakleshpur.
South Western Railway has decided to attach AC Vistadome (Glass-Top) coach in three trains from July 8.
Orders will begin on July 3 and the cost will be the same as the Shatabdi executive class.
The tariff from Yeswantpur to Mangaluru (413km) is Rs 1,470.
“We have decided to add two vistadome coaches and eliminate one second-class coach for three pairs of trains,” said an SWR official.
This train: 06211/06212 Yeswantpur – Karwar- Yeswantpur Express Special (from 7 July from Yeswantpur and from July 8 from Mangaluru); 06575/06576 Yeswantpur – Mangalturu- Yeswantpur Express Special (from 8 July from Yeswantpur and from July 9 from Mangaluru) and 06539/06540 Yeswantpur – Mangalpur – Yeswantpur Special (from 10 July from Yeswantpur and from 11 July from Mangalturu).
It should be operational from March 15, 2021 but delayed because Covid.
Vistadome coach, who will be attached to the train, will have LED lights, GPS-based info systems, microwaves and small refrigerators.
Passengers have demanded vistadome coaches for trains that really ran along the subrahmanya road-sakeshpur ghat section decorated with bridges, waterfalls and tunnels.
