Ambala: The PNDT team from the Ministry of Health and the Karnal family and Ambala carried out a joint attack and arrested two people for allegedly conducting a gender determination test in a pregnant woman at Saha Town of Ambala District.
The defendant who was arrested was identified as Amit Kumar from the village of Firozpur and Jasbir Colony Shivalik, Ambala City.
Police said the defendant was produced in court and was sent in police detention two days.

Balwinder Kaur filed a complaint and a registered case against Amit and Jasbir under the relevant section.

Balwinder Kaur said Karnal District Health Official received a tip-off of several people who conducted a gender determination test in Ambala district.
He said the raid team with Ambala and Karnal Health officials were formed and the solved customers contacted Tout Amit, who told him that the test would be carried out by Rs 35,000 to Rs 35,000.
