UG Colleges at Assam Wait for a New Government Policy on Reservations

Guwahati: Bachelor college is under repair the issuance of a list of achievements because there is no clarity about the order policy for the stateboard and CBSE Passouts.
While the previous order passed by the Directorate of Higher Education in August has asked college and state universities to order 75% of seats for the State Council students, Minister of Education Ranoj Pegu then said Board-based reservations would not apply in urban areas where a number of large numbers Students come from CBSE.

In Gahati Commerce College (GCC), 65% of seats in the UG course used to be reserved for the Assam State Board board until last year.
The justification is that these students are given scope for higher studies.
Ordering 75% of seats will determine the attitude of the GCC, which has followed the old board-based reservation.
Universities have prepared a list of services in the formula, but relaxation guaranteed by the Minister has improved it.
In other leading City College, B Borooah College, a list of achievements can be published in the next few days, said the Head of Satayendra Nath Barman.
“Unless we get written confirmation that reservation ordering policy 75:25 canceled, it is difficult to publish a list of achievements and date of acceptance.
College will be at the recipient’s tip if another order is issued by the government after receiving students based on the reservation formula,” Barman said.
Before the outbreak of Covid-19, the entrance ticket to the state university was finished in June.
Considering the possibility of the third wave of pandemic, lecture officials said the start of the beginning of the class would benefit the students.
However, considering the lethargy indicated by the Ministry of Education, many felt that the acceptance process for class undergraduate can extend until October in several institutions.
