Guwahati: Uncertainty towering whether Tablo Assam – with a scene where young Freedom Fighter Kanaklata Barua looks raised tricolor – will be chosen for the Republican Day Parade in New Delhi.
With India celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, to commemorate the 75 years of the country’s independence, Assam has a great hope that Kanaklata courage will steal the center of attention in the national capital.
However, even after the letter of Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma to the Minister of Defense, to help the courage of teenage martyrs shine in the national capital, the state government found it difficult to get the right answer from the center.
“The Ministry of Defense Union the Government took the initiative to show off a glimpse of different countries in the Republican Day event and also appealed to us to choose a tableau with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav theme.
Our country-level committee chose a scene where Kanaklata Barua raised Tricolor, as a tableau .
the selection committee is concerned told us to make corrections to certain models that we presented at the beginning and we assure them that we will do that.
However, there is no certainty, whether it has been, “said Minister of Culture Culture Country Bimal Bora at a press conference here on Sunday.
Kanaklata Barua, born in goods in 1924, joined a group of fighters in 1942 when calling the leaders of the Indian Quit Movement.
One of the youngest martyrs of the Indian Quit Movement, Kanaklata, then 17, fell to the police bullet when he lined up to the Gohpur police station at Assam North to lift Tricolor.
After warning the brigade he led from the front, the police at Gohpur Station opened fire and Kanaklata Martyred.
He has become an iconic figure in Assam – considered a high price but the problem of his statue which is not selected for the main republic day event has disappointed many people.
Despite implementing a correction, as desired by the Committee concerned in New Delhi, Bora said it was not compulsory that Assam would get the opportunity to present a tableau at the main event in New Delhi.
“Every Indian state does not get the chance to show off tables proposed every year.
It is not obliged that every country must be there,” he said.
Resources in the State Government said if Tablo Assam failed to cut the event, the committee concerned might even not even tell the state government.
Meanwhile, President Assam PCC Bhupen Kumar Borah, “It is a big insult for Assam and the Northeast.
Kanaklata Barua is the leader of the great freedom and braveness in a soft age.
Maybe, the case is not approved by RSS and thus, we are likely, will miss him in the national capital.
