Guwahati: The lack of vaccines has forced the state government to reduce the number of operational vaccination centers by 50% of 2,000 CVCs (Covid vaccination center) intended for mega inoculation drives on June 21.
Assam crossed the three-lakh target set on June 21, which encouraged the moral of health officials.
They want to continue the target per day throughout June and so on.
Health sources also told TII that if the country could reach three lakh vaccinations on three consecutive days, the ‘sufficient supply’ vaccine will continue.
Minister of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma hopes to manage at least one dose of 18+ citizens in August 15.
However, given the latest trends, uncertainty towards large over the impetus of direct inoculation from the others was hit by another third wave country that was possible.
People in the district are more susceptible to new variants in the current vaccine crisis situation.
The three districts have been placed under Total Lockdown from Monday.
The health department’s sources say that the district, regardless of vulnerability to Covid infection, has faced limitation in the supply of vaccines by up to 50% since June 21.
“In Kurbopolitan (Metropolitan), the amount of vaccination has been reduced from the beginning of 25,000, it was recorded at first.
Driving, up to around 12,000 now.
In other vulnerable districts such as Cachar and Dibrugarh, the appropriate numbers have declined from around 15,000 to 7,000,” said a person Senior health department official.
While the hope is more than three supply of lakh vaccines every day from the government, on June 22, the supply crosses this sign when the state receives 3.41 lakh (3,41,660) dose of covishield.
Even on June 20, there was no vaccine consignment that reached the country.
But the state government managed to mock more than three lakh people with previous shares.
On June 21, there were no vaccines arriving.
But on June 23, Assam received 1,36,330 doses of covishield and 29,730 covaxin.
The next day, 1.5 lakh covishield dose reached the country.
Since June 25, the vaccine supply began to shrink further.
There is no covishield dose that has been received by the state government during this period.
On June 25, a total of 69,370 covaxin doses were accepted, while the same supply was 52,030 on June 26.
Although 91,080 doses of Covaxin arrived at Assam on Sunday, there was no vaccine consignment that reached Monday afternoon.
Officials at the State Vaccination Office stated helplessness, because the state government solely depends on supply from the center.
“Only 1,024 CVC is operated on Monday.
This drastic reduction is caused by the availability of low vaccines,” officially added.
The State Health Department may have to revise the vaccination plan due to an uneven supply of vaccines.
According to the latest record, 69.20 lakh people from the state have been vaccinated in the state, where 57.17 lakh got the first shot.
Only 12.03 lakh of two populations of countries have the second dose.
“Through 1.5 lakh daily vaccination, a significant proportion of the public can be inoculated in September.
But the Ministry of Health cannot improve any target at this hour.
Everything depends on the supply of the previous day,” officially added.
