Aizawl: Voting is on his way to the election with the Constituency of the Tuirial Assembly in Mizoram in the midst of strict security on Saturday, officials said.
Bypoll to the chair in Kolastic District was arrested after death to sit down MLA Andrew H Thangliana from the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM).
The powerful MNF has reduced K Laldawngliana, while the ZPM candidate is Laltlangmawi.
Congress has lowered Chalrosanga Ralte and BJP K Laldinthara for the selection of by-election.
However, the contest will be between MNF, Congress and ZPM.
Voting starts at 7 am at 27 voting stations and will continue until 6pm.
The sound will be calculated on November 2 at the collapse of Government College.
The head of the P Jawahar election officer told PTI that at least one central paramilitary force company had been deployed, in addition to state forces.
A total of 17,911 voters were eligible to use their franchise at Bypoll.
