Bengaluru: A 35-year-old woman and seven-year-old daughter was found dead in the bathroom of their house in Ganapatinagar near Chikkabanavara, North Bengaluru on Saturday.
The police suspected Mangala, 35, and Gowtami N, a grade 1 student from a private school, died because he was limply caused by carbon monoxide leakage from Geyser.
The incident was revealed at 4pm, after Mangala’s husband Narasimhamurthy asked the owner to check what had happened to his wife because he did not answer his call since the afternoon.
Narasimhamurthy worked with a fabrication company and lived in a rented house in Ganapatinagar with his wife and daughter.
He left home in the morning to work and call his wife around 1pm.
He did not choose his phone and then, he tried to contact him by calling several times.
That’s when he suspected something was wrong and told the landlord.
The landlord found the door locked from inside and managed to open it through the window.
He found the small room closed and knocked repeatedly.
He told Narasimhamurthy and the police about it.
Police Soladevanahalli rushed to the place and opened the door.
Both Mangala and Gowthami were found dead inside.
“We suspect the incident took place at 11 am when the duo went to take a shower.
They fainted and breathed their last breath Bath, “said an officer.
The police have taken cases of unnatural deaths.
“We are waiting for an autopsy report to find out the right reasons,” said an officer.
