Yadgir: Police on Monday said they had arrested four people after a video of a woman was stripped naked and attacked into a viral on social media.
The incident was said to have occurred in the outskirts of Shahapur in the district, more than nine months ago, the police source said.
“A video of a woman stripped and attacked by four men came to our notification.
The case has been registered at the Shahapur Police Station, the fourth accused of being arrested,” said Yadgir CB Vedamurthy’s supervisor in a statement.
According to officials, based on the woman’s statement, the police have registered cases under various parts of the IPC and SC / ST acting, and active investigations.
In a video about two minutes, men can be seen beating women with objects like sticks after stripping it, when he begged to avoid, the source said.
