We all know that foods that are falsified are not good for the human body.
Keeping the same as the display, FSSAI has started a series on Twitter called #DetectingMoodulters.
The latest food items they talked about are ‘salt’.
Salt is the most important and basic spices used in the kitchen and therefore it is very important to ensure its purity.
Rich in sodium chloride, this spice is loaded with health benefits too.
However, excess salt can cause some health problems too.
In accordance with the 43 second video distributed by FSSAI, there is a simple way to check the purity of the yield white salt that we use at home.

5 steps to check the purity of table salt:
1.
Take potatoes and cut it into 2 pieces.
2.
Apply salt samples on the surface of the cut and wait a minute.
3.
Add 2 drops of lemon juice to both samples.
4.
Potatoes don’t change color because of double fortified salts.
5.
Dipperular beryodium salt makes potatoes turn blue.
