Bengaluru: Strategic Steps CM Basavaraj Bommai not to give ministerial charges in the home district they have not dropped well with parts of his cabinet colleagues who have expressed their unhappiness.
On Monday, Bommai has released a list of ministers responsible for the district which left two senior ministers – R Ashoka and J C Madhuswamy – after both refused to take a role if they were not given a house to be managed.
On Tuesday, some ministers openly expressed their displeasure because they were not assigned their home district even when Bommai tried to brush such reports by saying that he had spoken to them all before and after doing the exercise.
“They are united and there is no dissatisfaction,” he said.
CM: There is no minister who states the unhappiness of the Minister of Administration MTB Nagaraju said that he was disappointed not to get a rural district responsible.
“With my constituency located in rural Bengaluru, and I want to do the next election on the BJP ticket from the same hoskote segment, it is quite disappointing that I cannot display my ability to bring development to the district.
I have aired my worries to cm but will obey Any decision taken by high command, “he said.
Sports and Youth Affairs and Planning and Statistics Minister K Narayan Gowda asked for the former CM BS Yediyurappa to impress him the need to restore it as Mandya District Minister.
Anand Singh’s tourism minister also reportedly drove because he was not given Vijayanagara who was responsible even when his supporters continued their protests looking for change.
Singh really intends to meet with senior party officials.
Minister of Health K Sudhakar who has been given a rural district Bengaluru instead of his home district Chikkaballapura is also rumored to be annoyed.
“Whatever should be discussed and aired, it will be done at our internal party meeting.
We are a loyal foot warrior from BJP and will obey the CM decision and central leadership,” said Sudhakar.
Excise Minister K Gopalaiiah said that it was a decision of the high party command and has nothing to do with the performance of an individual minister.
“We have been given the opportunity to serve and we will do it with our best abilities,” Gopalaiiah said, who is now responsible for Mandya and Hassan.
Bommai, however, tried to underestimate dissatisfied rumors.
“None of the ministers expressed their unyone.
They are united and there is no dissatisfaction.
This is our party national policy to assign the district that is not the home district of the ministers,” CM said.
The only exception was B Sriramulu, who had been selected from the Chitradurga district, but got Ballari, the district of his house.
“I’m happy with the decision,” he said.
