The best thing that you can do while sitting at home is pamper your skin.
It is the most vulnerable organ in our body and needs regular care.
Over the past few months, we all have tried various DIYs to improve our skin and make it glowing and radiant.
But it is very important to know what to follow and what not, what suits your skin and what can harm it.
We got in touch with beauty expert and popular aromatherapist Blossom Kochhar to share the perfect beauty routine at home that is safe for all skin types and will give exceptional results.
Let’s start our day with CTOM, cleansing your face even when you are at home is very important, it clears all the dirt from your face and pores and lets your skin breathe.
Next step is toning, a good toner will balance the pH level of your skin and will close all the open pores.
This step is especially very important for those who have oily skin.
After this we come to oiling, a skin oil penetrates deep into your skin and hydrates it which keeps your skin young for a long time.
The last step is to moisturize, it will lock all the moisture in your skin and will give a natural glow.
Exfoliating your skin twice a week is absolutely important, it removes all the dead cells and gives your skin instant freshness.
Try this easy yet supremely effective DIY – Mix 1 tablespoon rice powder, 1 teaspoon yoghurt, a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon in a bowl.
Apply this mixture to your clean face and massage gently onto your skin.
Rinse your face with lukewarm water.
After you exfoliate your skin, it is extremely important to use a hydrating pack which will close your pores and restore the moisture in your skin.
A simple face mask that you can try at home is – mix ¼ cup yogurt, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 tablespoon milk powder, and 2 yeast tablets powdered.
Leave on for 10 minutes, splash with cool water.
Do it at least once at least.
Yes, we are not stepping out much.
Yes, we are away from the sun but still we can’t say no to sunscreen.
Even while at home our skin gets exposed to a lot of harmful rays coming from our laptop screen, mobile phones and other gadgets.
This is very harmful for our skin; it can lead to blemishes and dark spots.
So, remember to wear a light sunscreen at home, you can use a gel based one.
I personally love aloe vera sunscreen, it nourishes my skin too!
Nothing you apply on your skin will work unless you crease out the tensions and stress in your mind and have a balanced diet.
What you eat reflects on your skin so eat all green vegetables and fruits that are juicy.
Also, remember to always include seasonal fruits & vegetables in your diet.
Drinking your vegetables and eating your fruit should be your mantra.
Lastly, but most importantly stay away from stress.
Use essential oils like lavender, jasmine, and rose that will calm your nerves and pep you up.
A stress free mind leads to a beautiful skin.
