Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress President D K Shivakumar on Wednesday urged the state government to attract restrictions at the height of the Ganesha idol.
“The Ganesha Festival is only two more days and new government decisions that impose meaningless restrictions on Ganesha idols placed at home up to 2 feet and 4 feet in public places, disrupting the lives of idol makers,” Shivakumar said.
This order must be drawn immediately or the idol maker must be compensated, he said.
The government in its guidelines for festival celebrations issued recently has limited idols to four feet in public places and two legs in the residence.
Millions of Ganesha’s idol has been carried out for the past 2 months, and the government’s decision to impose such limitations at the last moment will put the idol maker, said Shivakumar, “if the government said this two or three months ago, idol makers would not make a smaller idol .
“” Ganesha idol maker, who has no income at Covid, has made a small amount of money.
If this restriction is put in place at the last minute, where should they go? The government has so far not pay a single rupe for people affected by Covid , “he said as quoted by his office in a press release.
Chasing a decision as a “thin apathetic” in the part of the government, because it made the life of the people who made God’s miserable idol, the Head of the KPCC said, “It is unfortunate that the state government has created a large gap between worshipers and God in the process of limiting the Ganesha festival celebration.
” “If the government makes it a decision at the last minute, if idols (high) are placed in front of the decision-making house?” He said, when he demanded the decision makers to buy idols.
Shivakumar further said he did not question the rules of Covid-19, but questioned a non-scientific government’s decision.
“Their lives that depend on this profession (creation of idols) should not come to the streets.
Ganesha festival is only two more days, the government must attract this nonsense restriction or provide assistance to idol makers,” his demands.
